2 Lockheed C-121 Constellations

President: Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy

Mamie Eisenhower named these two planes "Columbine II" and "Columbine III" after the state flower of Colorado. Ann incident involving one of these planes prompted the creation of the "Air Force One" call sign. Eastern Airlines 8610 and Air Force 8610 were scheduled to land at the same airport at the same time, and the confusion almost ended in both planes attempting to use the same runway at the same time.
