Cadillac has a long history of providing state cars for the executive branch, and it all started with this majestic Cadillac Series 53. During the First World War, Cadillac was still producing a number of vehicles, but the custom work department was dedicated to the war effort, and so Wilson's Caddy was a factory spec car unlike most of the ones that have been used by presidents in the years since.
