Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority Makes Metro Cool With Billboards

Ask anyone familiar with the culture in L.A., and they'll tell you: you need a car to get around. That is, unless you're talking to Michael Lejeunethe first creative director of the city's Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Since having unrolled his campaign to boost ridership in 2005, with a tagline stating “Metropolitan Transit Authority? Oh, please. Just say Go Metro,” and billboards across the city comparing the pros of mass transit with the cons of driving, the city's rails have experienced a 38 percent increase. At that rate, L.A. car culture may soon be facing a real challenge.
