Governor of California Jerry Brown believes in a future where cars will drive people where they need to go, and no, the Governor has not lost his mind. Yesterday, Brown signed a bill establishing regulations to test and operate self-driving vehicles on the state's roads and highways after taking a ride to Google headquarters in an autonomously driven Toyota Prius. With carmakers like Audi, BMW, Ford, and Volvo developing the technology for such vehicles for years now the bill basically means that we should be seeing these driverless rides on the streets within the next ten years or so, according to Google co-founder Sergey Brin, who's been developing technology and lobbying for the regulations.
