Man Sets Fire to Nuclear Submarine to Get Off Work Early

24-year-old civilian worker at the Portsmouth Naval Base in Maine, Casey James Fury, recently set fire to some rags and a vacuum cleaner aboard a nuclear submarine, the USS Miami, in order to get out of work early. Fury was reportedly distraught over suspicions that his ex-girlfriend was seeing someone new and wanted to confront her. It took firefighters 12 hours to get the fire under control, and Fury now faces life in prison. He was apparently under the influence of various prescription drugs, and had been suffering from mental problems at the time that he set the fire.
