EPA Rates Tesla Model S at 89 MPGe With 265-Mile Single-Charge Range

The new Model S sedan will not only determine the direction of Tesla, but will also determine the direction of the electric vehicle industry. The new car has potential to produce unbelievable numbers, as EPA officially rated the car to get 85 MPGe and 265 miles on a single charge. It also comes with an impressive 362 horsepower. Car and Driver has a nice chart comparing the different EVs, and as you can see, the numbers are so much better from the S due to its massive 85 kWh. The main issue is its price point at $77,400. The new car officially launched today.
