Video: Ten Lanes of Highway Traffic in Israel Stop Dead in Middle of Day To Remember the Holocaust

This video is both incredibly moving and incredibly sad. Each year, the world, Israel in particular, takes a day to remember those lost in the horrific event that was the Holocaust. This year, the 24-hour span began on the evening of the 18th and ended the same time the next day. At one point on the 19th, sirens rang for two minutes, a time during which everybody is supposed to stop everything and have a moment of silence. This includes people in cars, and this video displays the incredible event of 10 lanes of highway traffic coming to a full hault in the middle of the road. It's a little chaotic, especially with everybody standing right outside their cars, but it's a fantastic display.
