BMW Names Cold Front That Goes On To Kill 114 People

In an attempt to promote the wind and weather-proof capabilities of their Cooper Mini, BMW recently turned to the Adopt a Vortex weather-naming program run by the German meteorological office to have a cold front named after the car. The cold front, which later developed into harsh deep freeze, leaving thousands in Europe trapped by heavy snow and blizzards, eventually claimed the lives of 114 people. The company has made a public apology, stating, "Of course we are sorry. It was not intentional, you cannot tell in advance what a weather system will do."
