Let's face it, the quintessential British-ness of the Land Rover and the Jaguar brands is a big part of their appeal. The new Land Rover Defender will be the first of either line-up to be built in India, which no doubt offers financial perks over building it in the UK, but will probably scare off some buyers as well. Would you buy an Indian made Defender?

Terrible. The design is bad enough for the brand. But manufacturing it in India completely murders it. Hey I have an idea, Ferrari could send its manufacturing to China. Oh, and the corvette could be assembled in Bolivia.
