Video: Blackberry Curve Night Bikes

Video Loading...

The Blackberry Curve smart phone is apparently a necessary part of any riders tool kit, according to this spot from Blackberry. It's definitely cool to see a company like Blackberry targeting such a specific group as bicyclists, and the night ride footage with the glow in the dark bikes is very Tron-esque. A solid commercial that almost convinced us to switch over to #TeamBlackberry, but not quite that good.

I thought this was a commercial for the bikes and I was super stoked. Screw the phones where can I get one of those bikes?

Check out bikeafterdark.com They sell these tron-esque wheel lights that are crazy bright. I got one for my cousin and she loves them when she rides around Chicago.

http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=98199&page=1 This article was all I could find on the "Dark Bikes", aka glow in the dark bikes. Though obviously things have advanced from there since then... anyone else find more??

they're just normal bikes painted with glow in the dark paint, you can do it to your own bike

The night bikes themselves are great. What a terrific idea to have the entire bike glow in the dark. Here people ride at night but it's hard to tell what they are from a little light bobbing up and down or a strip on their clothes. If you could see the whole bike, it would be much safer.

The bikes are "8bar KRZBERG v1.0 NIGHT BIKE." I looked on the web site and they don't have the glow spokes on the wheels, which I love. So that must be a special custom feature. Cool bike though.
