General Motors recently unrolled an ad campaign urging students to take advantage of the company's student discount to get off their bicycles and into the seat of one of their automobiles. The “Stop Pedaling…Start Driving” campaign, having offended a great deal of cycling advocates, has led GM to take to their twitter page to address and apologize to anyone who's got something to say about it. Ill-conceived, though it may have been, we must say way to find a social media solution to an old-school advertising dilemma, GM. We applaud you.
