The U.S. Air Force Wants To Spend $23 Billion On This Plane

The U.S. Air Force wants to upgrade its current U-2 spy planes to what U.S. officials have dubbed "The Escalade" of spy drones. The Global Hawk is a $218 million surveillance plane that's soon to replace the current U-2 spy drone. It's rumored that both the U.S. Air Force and Navy will purchase a total of 55 Global Hawks, racking up a cool $23 billion in spending. [Business Insider]

ive been a science and invention enthusiast since then but i jst cant imagine how a 218 million dollar cost fit with that size of plane, just a thought...does it function like a stealth bomber too with stealth capability?
