Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced the NYPD will go green yesterday. The city will be adding 50 Chevrolet Volts to the NYPD fleet in hopes of cutting air pollution and other harmful toxic emissions. The Volt can travel up to 35 miles on battery alone, but also can travel up to 379 miles on gasoline—sounds like a hybrid. But back to the main focus, lets cut back on the donuts, and lower the price on those Metrocards.
