Monty Python and the Holy Grail is the epitome of intelligent silliness. Conceived by the forward-thinking British comedy troupe, Monty Python, it's a presentation of the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table crew as an absurdist romp in which "pretty little" bunny rabbits are savage beasts, castle guardians crack fart jokes, and those in power are shamefully moronic.
In other words, it's a feature length spin on the Python group's masterful blend of satire and ridiculousness. Not to mention, it's also one of the funniest movies ever made, one whose humor never gets old.
