A second season was confirmed ahead of its Season 1 two-part finale last August.

Star Wars Celebration 2022 featured a number of announcements, first looks, and teasers these last few days. The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau revealed Season 3 would premiere on the streaming service on Feb. 2023. Dave Filoni, who accompanied Favreau on stage, reassured fans eagerly anticipating the Ahsoka series that it will be coming out in 2023 as well. Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson, who appeared in a Season 2 episode of The Mandalorian, also delivered a message to the audience in a pre-taped appearance in full costume.

Additionally, it was reported that Jude Law joined the cast of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, which is being developed by Jon Watts, director of the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man trilogy. A debut trailer for Andor was also shown on the first day of Star Wars Celebration 2022. The limited series serves as a prequel to the 2016 film Rogue One and stars Diego Luna as the titular character Cassian Andor. It’s scheduled to hit the streamer on Aug. 31.
