Lori Harvey sat down for a new interview in which she opened up about her personal life, fresh from her split with  Michael B. Jordan.

In a chat with Teyana Taylor for Bumble’s Luv2SeeIt series, Harvey mentioned that she “almost got married very young.” While she didn’t name drop who she was referring to, she was engaged to soccer player Memphis Depay in 2017 before she confirmed the end of their relationship the following year.

“I felt like I hadn’t really experienced anything. I didn’t really know myself, I didn’t really know what I liked, what I didn’t like. I just feel like I hadn’t really experienced life,” she said, explaining that she eventually reached a point where she didn’t want to settle or compromise to make a relationship work. “However I want to move, whatever I want to do, I’m going to do it. And if it’s no longer serving me, I’m going to move on.”

Elsewhere in the chat, the 25-year-old said that being “too close” to your ex is seen as a “red flag” for her, while having bad blood is also a warning sign. “I don’t want y’all to have beef either,” she remarked, “because that gets messy.” What she’s primarily looking for in a relationship is “transparency.”

“I was actually a horrible communicator,” she said of one of her previous relationships. “I just didn’t realize that it was that bad, but I learned. It’s something that I’ve been actively working on.”

Shortly after her split from Jordan, her father, Steve Harvey, offered his thoughts on the breakup, and said he’s “team Lori” even though he still thinks the actor is a “cool guy.”
