In the trailer for the new season of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kim Kardashian reveals that she was “mortified” by the backlash to her Variety profile.

“You saw all the backlash on the Variety interview?” Kim can be heard asking in the trailer. "No one sympathizes with you," replied her sister, Khloé Kardashian. "I'm mortified, and I do understand why people were upset," Kim added.

The 41-year-old Skims founder faced widespread criticism earlier this year for comments she made in a Variety profile on her and her family. “I have the best advice for women in business,” Kim said. “Get your fucking ass up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days. You have to surround yourself with people that want to work. Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do, because you have one life. No toxic work environments.”

Kim was widely deemed out of touch for her comments, especially since she and her siblings were born into financial privilege many don’t have. Others pointed out that Kim was sued after allegedly violating labor laws in 2021.

Meanwhile, Pete Davidson is notably absent from the trailer. The former Saturday Night Live star was romantically linked to Kim from late 2021, until sometime earlier this month. It’s unclear if fans can expect the new slew of episodes to cover their relationship and eventual break-up, but the trailer does show some of Kourtney and Travis Barker’s romance.
