Kanye West and Kim Kardashian in better days

UPDATED 3/15 11:36 a.m. ET: A lawyer for the artist formerly known as Kanye West, per TMZ’s “sources with direct knowledge,” is said be making the issue of custody a top priority.

Until now, no formal custody agreement has been in place between Ye and Kim Kardashian, with the two instead said to be working such scheduling out on a case-by-case basis. Ye’s lawyer, Samantha Spector, is now reportedly aiming to establish a “more formal” agreement between Ye and Kim. If such an agreement isn’t achieved, Spector—at least according to the latest from TMZ—will then request that a judge set custody and visitation rules.

Meanwhile, Ye has shared a number of recent IG posts reiterating his stance on the current situation and responding to media coverage on Kim calling him out. In one, he referenced Pete Davidson and Kim as being “pawns in a bigger game,” and later elaborated on this in a separate post mentioning Hulu’s upcoming The Kardashians premiere.

“What did I like about?” Ye said when sharing a screenshot of a Perez Hilton story. “I am ‘allowed’ to see my kids YALL soooo mad that I can’t be written off as abuser or a stalker YALL soooo mad that SKETE showed who he really is Right before the Hulu trailer dropped I’m not a bad guy Kim’s not a bad person Kids want parents to stay together but Hulu needed a new narrative.”

In another post, he mentioned “this the fifth time she did this,” with the Donda 2 artist also referencing being “bashed” for a previously shared post showing pins on North’s backpack.

“Tell me how to be the best dad when the mom is trying to shit on you after not letting you see your kids,” Ye wrote. “And I love how I have no celebrity ‘friends’ that will speak up on my behalf.” Elsewhere, Ye shouted out Consequence, who recently shared tweets in defense of his friend and collaborator.

Just a day after Kanye West called out Kim Kardashian for allegedly limiting his access to their children—including at his Donda 2 event and Sunday Service—Kim jumped in her ex’s comments section on Instagram.

“Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school,” she wrote under his latest post on Monday.

Kim Kardashian Kanye West Instagram remarks

Kanye took to Instagram on Monday to post a picture of their daughter North West’s backpack, which features pins of her parents’ faces and an alien between them.

“This was on my daughters back pack when I was ‘allowed’ to see her last week,” he wrote. “This is why I go so hard for my family I am wired to protect my family at all cost As the priest of my home Don’t worry Northy God is still alive.”

Kanye’s latest post arrives on the heels of a pair of videos shared Sunday in which he blasted Kim.

“When we had the Donda 2 release in Miami, I got a flight for all my kids to come from Calabasas,” Ye explained in a since-deleted IG clip. “An assistant hit me and said ‘The kids are there.’ When the plane took off I got a text from Kim that said, ‘North won’t be on the plane.’ You see, this is the kind of stuff that’s just like the Chicago birthday party. I’m glad you saw what I have to deal with.”

Kanye continued, “Now we got Sunday Service this morning at 10 a.m.; North had a sleepover, so she can’t come to Sunday Service. I moved the Sunday Service up to 10 a.m. so that I can go to Saint’s soccer game at 12:30. I moved the entire thing!”

As previously reported, both Kardashian and West are now legally single. Earlier this month, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran approved Kim’s request to be granted single status in the eyes of the law amid her divorce proceedings with Kanye. The couple has yet to completely settle their financial and custody issues, though the ruling does allow both parties to become legally divorced.
