Yung Miami's Friend and Rapper Saucy Santana Hospitalized After Highway Shooting

Saucy Santana was one of three victims injured following a shooting on Wednesday.

Florida rapper and entertainer, Saucy Santana, was one of three victims hospitalized following a shooting on Wednesday, the local NBC affiliate reports

According to police officials, the shooting took place near the entrance ramp to I-95 from Miami Gardens Drive at around 4 a.m. ET. A Honda sedan carrying Santana and two other passengers was approached by a Chevy sedan that opened fire on the vehicle. All three passengers were struck by bullets. They were taken to Aventura Hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries to their arms and hands.

Authorities have not released the victims' identities, but the talent management company that handles Santana's affairs, Daniel Talent Management, confirmed to the media that the entertainer was in the car. The company then released a statement on Santana's behalf. 

"Saucy Santana wants to thank everyone for the calls and support," the statement reads.

Saucy Sanatana is known for his friendship with the City Girls' Yung Miami. Also, Sanatana's singles, "Walk Em Like a Dog" and "Material Girl," have amassed the rapper millions of views on YouTube. 

Investigators believe that close to seven shots were fired into the Honda. Information on the potential shooter has not been released.
