When it comes to Monday night, there's no better way to get eyeballs on your product than by advertising during Monday Night Football. We didn't look that up but it sounds true, and doubly so if you show off your wares during halftime.

With those possible facts in mind, Disney opted to release the third and final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalkerduring halftime of Monday's contest between the Patriots and Jets. This was apparently so important to hype that promo commercials for the final trailer were previously aired.

In addition to the Episode IX trailer, Monday's significant because advance tickets for the film are now also on sale. It doesn't come out for two months, but it's also a Star Wars movie. So one would expect those tickets to go quickly.

Whatever you decide to do, this is the film that's set to bring the Skywalker saga to a close. And it will double as a satisfying flick for those in attendance, as well super fans who want to someday (probably soon) watch every film from the series' main story in sequential order. At least if director J.J. Abrams has his way.

"This is about bringing this thing to a close in a way that is emotional and meaningful and also satisfying in terms of actually answering [as many] questions as possible," Abrams said in the November issue of Entertainment Weekly. "So if years from now, someone's watching these movies, all nine of them, they're watching a story that is as cohesive as possible."

He also acknowledged the challenge that he and co-writer Chris Terrio have in terms of wrapping up with a conclusion that's satisfying...which is an often difficult task for these major creative epics. "It also doesn't mean that there's a list of payoffs that we have to do because of setups," Abrams said. "But we also were very much aware this is the end of the trilogy and it needs to satisfy. We went into this thing knowing it has to be an ending."

As for the cast, that's made up of Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, and Billy Dee Williams, among others.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will hit theaters Dec. 20.
