Kid Cudi's upcoming album Entergalactic serves as the creative foundation for a just-announced Netflix series executive produced by Kenya Barris.

Billed as the "first of its kind" in a press release announcing its presumed awesomeness Monday afternoon, the adult-targeting animated series is backed by Barris' Khalabo Ink Society banner and will feature music from the new Cudi album.

As for the story, Entergalactic centers on a young man as he embarks on a journey to discover love. Cudi writes, stars, and executive produces. Ian Edelman, who previously worked with Cudi on HBO's How to Make It in America, will also write and executive produce.

For those paying attention, Entergalactic marks the latest in a welcome series of such announcements in the Cudiverse. Earlier this month, Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino made the world a temporarily more comforting place to reside with word that Cudi was among those slated to star in his upcoming HBO limited drama series We Are Who We Are.

Chloë Sevigny and Alice Braga also star in the eight-episode project, which THRsaid will touch on some of the same themes studied in Guadagnino's Call Me by Your Name.

Cudi's also been enlisted for next year's Bill & Ted Face the Music, the third season of Westworld, and Shudder's Creepshow series.

Meanwhile, Cudi's last solo full-length was the 2016 release Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’. That album was followed last year with the Kanye-collabing surgical summer seven-tracker Kids See Ghosts, which Cudi previously hinted was certainly a candidate for a sequel or two.
