Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez are headed for the aisle.

The former New York Yankee announced his engagement to Lopez on Saturday, two years after the couple's relationship was confirmed.

"She said yes," ARod captioned an Instagram post of the singer's massive ring. JLo shared the same photo on her official account, captioned with a series of hearts.

Insiders tell People Rodriguez popped the question during their romantic getaway in the Bahamas.

In a Vanity Fair cover story, Lopez revealed she had met the MLB star at Shea Stadium in 2005 when her then-husband Marc Anthony threw the opening pitch. The two reconnected about a decade later at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Lopez said their first date occurred shortly after.

"So he’s talking, talking about his plans, about how he had just retired from baseball, about how he saw himself getting married again, all these things you wouldn’t normally talk about on a first date," the singer recalled. "I don’t know if he thought it was a date. I thought it was a date. Then I knew he was nervous because he asked me if I wanted a drink. I said, 'No, I don’t drink, and he asked if I minded if he had one. He was nervous, and it was really cute."

When the couple officially ties the knot, it'll mark Rodriguez's second marriage and Lopez's fourth. In addition to Anthony, the 49-year-old singer was previously married to Ojani Noa and Cris Judd. Rodriguez and Lopez each have two children from previous marriages.
