In the trailer, we see the heroes who survived Thanos' big snap trying to reconcile with the lose of their team (and Cap's beard), their loved ones, half of the population. Tony Stark floats adrift in space without food or water, relaying a message to Pepper Potts.

Meanwhile, Captain America and Black Widow seem to be cooking up a plan to save the universe. "This is gonna work Steve," Scarlett Johansson's character says to Chris Evans. "I know it is," he replies. "'Cause I don't know what I'm gonna do if it doesn't."

Earth's mightiest heroes are certainly looking bleak, but with the next Spider-Man movie following a few months after, we have to believe things will turn out alright, right? RIGHT? Elsewhere in the trailer we get glimpses of a downtrodden Thor and Bruce Banner aka Hulk. And toward the end, Ant-Man shows up at Captain America's door.

It's taken over a decade and 20+ movies to reach the end of this chapter in the Avengers sage, but as the trailer teaser says, "part of the journey is the end."

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26, after being pushed back from its original May 3, 2019 release date. It's being preceded by Captain Marvel on March 8, and followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 5.
