Less than a month after we officially learned Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson were “casually dating,” both Peopleand Us Weeklyare reporting that the two stars, both of whom are 24 years old, are engaged.
The pair began dating after both of them split from their long-term significant others: Grande and Mac Miller announced they had split up in May, and Davidson and Cazzie David broke up just days afterward. Grande and Davidson have since been active on Instagram, posting photos posing with Harry Potter robes as well as some more serious notes on Grande’s part.
“It’s a recent engagement. They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time,” an anonymous source told People. “They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding.”
No matter what happens with this engagement, the two had already cemented their relationship in ink when Davidson got two Grande-themed tattoos earlier this month.
No one will blame you if you're skeptical about thsi admittedly crazy-sounding bit of celebrity news, but the evidence is starting to stack up. Minutes after the engagement reports started making the rounds online, Grande fired off a cheeky, somewhat mysterious tweet. To be fair, all the tweet said was "I love you so much," and she does say this to fans a lot on social media. Still, though, the excessive use of the monkey-hiding-its-face emoji and the timing made it seem coy—it's not a denial of the reports.
