Jenna Fischer Reveals What Pam Told Michael During 'The Office' Goodbye

Here's what Pam told Michael on his last day.

It's been seven years since NBC aired The Office's "Goodbye, Michael" where Dunder Mifflin boss, Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell) left the show.

In the episode, the cast got together to say bye to their boss, but one person was missing—Jenna Fischer's Pam, who worked as Scott's secretary for six years. (She was out running an errand and thought Michael was leaving the following day.) Luckily, her TV husband, Jim, drove her to the airport before he left. But diehard Office fans never got to hear what Pam said to Michael. Now, Fischer reveals she wasn't talking to Michael at all. Instead, she had a message to Steve.

"That was me talking to Steve. I told him all the ways I was going to miss him when he left our show. Those were real tears and a real goodbye," said Fischer to Instagram followers, according to Mashable. "That was a really emotional scene."

We're not crying, you are! Of course, this wasn't the last time we saw the Dunder Mifflin boss. He later returned for the 2013 finale to wed his employees, Dwight and Angela.

On Instagram, Fischer also shared her favorite episodes in the series. "I just watched 'Branch Wars' from Season 4 and I was kind of loving it," she said. "But my ultimate favorite is 'Dinner Party.'"
