Thereā€™s great news from the television world today. As Variety reports,Ā TBS just renewed its hit comedyĀ The Last O.G.,Ā starring Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish. Canā€™t say weā€™re too surprised, since the show is funny AF. In case you havenā€™t watched it, the basic premiseĀ is an ex-con named Tray (Morgan) who gets out of prison after a 15-year sentence to return to his newly gentrified hometown of Brooklyn. Not only has the borough changed, he discovers his former girlfriend (Haddish) has also moved on and married a white man, with who she is raising the two children Tray fathered while he was locked up.

As one might expect, Morgan is very happy about the news. ā€œI would like to thank God, my family, the fans and TBS and everyone that has been given a second chance. We love you!!!ā€ he said. The Last O.G., which debuted on March 21, also stars Allen Maldonado, Ryan Gaul, and Cedric the Entertainer. It is executive produced by Morgan, Jordan Peele, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Saladin Patterson and Joel Zadak of Principato Young.

The renewal is one of two for the network, as Search Party also got the green light. As Brett Weitz, executive vice president of programming for TBS, said, ā€œWe truly believe The Last O.G. and Search PartyĀ are two of the best shows on television.ā€ Thatā€™s a tall order, but as Last O.G. star Tiffany Haddish would say, ā€œShe ready!ā€
