Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian Joke About One of Kanye's Inspirational Tweets

Real talk: Kim Kardashian would probably never sleep on an air mattress.

Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian

Kanye West reactivated his Twitter less than a week ago, but the return has already caused major waves. His very first tweet (which has since been deleted) was a shot at Nike; following that, Kanye got nostalgic by sharing some old photos and reminiscing about the The Life of Pablo era. He’s also peppered his Twitter page with typical Kanye-isms framed as advice to creatives. One of these Kanye-isms included a rather nihilistic and cryptic tweet:

Sometimes you have to get rid of everything

Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, took some issue with his specific tweet. Kanye wasn’t specific about what he meant by “everything” and whether that would encompass her, too.

Wait...EVERYTHING?!?!?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ https://t.co/0wrL1c0shB

As is the case with most things on Twitter, things became significantly funnier once Chrissy Teigen got involved. Chrissy was willing to take Kim’s joke one step further and offer her an air mattress to stay out should she need it, now that her husband “got rid” of her on Twitter and everything.

I have an air mattress here and I have been itching to bust it out if you need

Kim, again in good humor, took her friend’s suggestion seriously. Chrissy would probably need to provide more than one air mattress if the “everything” Kanye needs to get rid of also encompasses his three children, North, Saint, and Chicago. Surely another friend, like Chrissy’s husband John Legend, could call Kanye to clear up the confusion… but wait…

Might need some more for the kids? Just not clear on what everything really means. I need clarity. Thanks for being such a good friend. Maybe John can call and inquire? But maybe he means friends too? This is confusing. https://t.co/HLUkMiZCLU

As Kim herself unfortunately found out, it apparently needs to be said that her tweet was in jest, and the couple are probably doing just fine (they did just film an episode of Family Feud, that bastion of healthy family relationships, after all.)

For anyone who has absolutely no humor in their soul please know my tweets are a joke and I will die laughing if I see blogs and media really think I am being serious. So don’t even try it.
