Legion's season 2 trailer is here and it's looking like it's going to be a promising follow-up to the first season.

The FX series, which stars Dan Stevens, is giving fans a peak into what the upcoming season will look like with dance-filled scenes and trippy montages. It turns out Stevens' character, David Haller, is out of the orb he was absorbed into during the last season's finale. There's also a mention of the Shadow King, one of the oldest and most powerful mutants ever, according to Marvel. (He's apparently so evil, his dark deeds convinced Charles Xavier aka Professor X to form the X-Men to be able to fight off villains like him.)

Legion also stars Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Bill Irwin, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton, and Jean Smart. Two weeks ago, Plaza released a teaser trailer for the upcoming season as well.

But Legion isn't the only outlet pushing mutant stories though. 20th Century Fox is slated to release the Marvel-produced horror film The New Mutants in 2019, following a group of young mutants who attempt to make their way out of a top secret facility alive. The Gifted will return to Fox for a second season as well.

In the meantime, fans can catch some mutants in action in Legion's season 2, slated to premiere on April 3 on FX at 10 p.m. EST. Catch the trailer above.
