Ousted Nickelodeon Producer Rumored to Have Abused Actresses, Received $7 Million Payout

Some sources claim Dan Schneider would post photos of his female actresses' feet on his social media.

On Tuesday, we reported that Nickelodeon had parted ways with Dan Schneider, the producer behind shows like Kenan & Kel and All That, among many others. The children’s network ended its relationship with Schneider after almost 25 years, and Deadline reported that the move happened as Schneider was “under a cloud of suspicion over the treatment of some younger stars of his shows.” Today, more details are emerging, including the fact that Schneider might have received a $7 million payout to leave his job.

Schneider was not just a successful producer at Nickelodeon; he is also credited with discovering some of the network’s most famous and influential child stars including Ariana Grande, Amanda Bynes, Jamie Lynn Spears, Kenan Thompson, and Victoria Justice. Schneider also created shows like iCarly, Drake & Josh, Victorious, Kenan & Kel and Henry Danger.

According to unnamed industry sources who spoke to Page Six, Schneider took a $7 million dollar payout to leave. This comes as Deadline reports that Schneider would tweet photos of the feet of his young female stars and had “well documented temper issues for years” that resulted in “multiple complaints of abusive behavior against Schneider filed by members of his staff.” Page Six also points to more strange social media behavior, noting his habit of posting “seemingly inappropriate videos of his actresses” including one of Ariana Grande in a revealing outfit “dousing herself with water.”

Schneider has been at the center of countless internet rumors for many years now, as The Outline detailed at length. A 2012 comment on an anonymous entertainment industry blog called Schneider the "WORST predator alive" and claimed that Schneider was the real father of Jamie Lynn Spears's (Britney Spears's sister) child, who was born in 2007. In 2013, one user in another chatroom wrote: “Schneider is one of the biggest pedos in the biz, but as long as he can take a pretty young girl and turn her into a money making machine, he’ll always have a job.”

An extra on The Amanda Bynes show claimed on Reddit that Schneider paid them $100 to tickle their feet. Other accusations and observations have been made on Twitter.

thread of how much of a pedophile creep with disgusting fetishes dan schneider is and what really goes on behind the scenes of his shows:

It should be noted that there have yet to be any public allegations of sexual misconduct against Schneider by any of the actresses who worked with him, in the line of #MeToo. A source close to Schneider strongly denied to Page Six any allegations that he had acted inappropriately with his younger stars, but the source did admit that he could “be an asshole.”

As for the network, Nickelodeon has deemed Schneider’s exit a “mutual decision.” Another unnamed source told Page Six that Schneider is leaving as a result of a change of management at the network, a disagreement over the ending of one of his shows, Game Shakers, as well as a fight over studio space.
