On April 20, a new action film called Rampage starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is hitting theaters. From everything we've seen so far, it's going to be the perfect stoner movie for its 4/20-celebrating audience.

In November, we were treated to the film's first trailer and introduced to George, an intelligent albino gorilla who Johnson jokingly referred to as his "best friend" on Instagram. Unfortunately for George, the film's plotline (which is loosely based on the 1980s video game from Midway of the same name) is centered around the gorilla turning into a giant raging creature due to a mysterious genetic mutation.

So far, each of these trailers have featured awesome scenes of George thrashing around and turning hulking skyscrapers into dust with a swing of his giant arms.

We're still a little hazy about the exact plot, though. Here's how the film is described on its official IMDB page:

Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry mutates this gentle ape into a raging creature of enormous size. To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered animals. As these newly created alpha predators tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.

Or, if you want to dive really deep and understand what George is going through by watching seven minutes of gameplay footage from the original Midway game, you can do so below.

Honestly, if you've made it this far and just watched someone play a 30-year-old video game on YouTube, you passed the test. You fully deserve to celebrate your 4/20 with the Rock and George. Have fun out there.
