Mob movie fans rejoice. Starting in January 2018, The Godfather trilogy will become available to stream on Netflix.
The three-part classic (or, as many might put it, the two-part classic with one disappointing follow-up) is one of the highlights of Netflix's additions to its extensive catalog to ring in the new year. The entire trilogy will be appearing on the service in full on January 1st. Of course, Netflix had a very appropriate tweet, referencing one of the film's signature lines from mob boss Vito Corleone.
Arguably one of the best trilogies in the history of film, the Godfather films were able to rack up 28 Oscar nominations, winning nine of them, and included a star-studded cast of names like Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro. The first two movies from the '70s are widely considered some of the best ever made. The Godfather Part III is not held to the same level of praise, though it does have its defenders.
In addition to the Godfather trilogy, Netflix will also be adding movies like Breakfast at Tiffany's, Lethal Weapon, Dallas Buyers Club, Training Day, and more to its streaming library next month as well for your viewing pleasure. Check out the full list of new additions for January 2018 here.
