Following Monday's news that they were breaking up, more details have come out about the separation of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris after eight years of marriage.

According to TMZ, the pair did not split due to a third party butting in, as is so often the case, but rather because of their divergent views on family. A source told the media outlet that Faris wants a traditional family that's almost always together at their base of operations, and also wants more kids.

However, the ascension of Pratt's career over the past few years has altered the work/family balance that he had when he originally married Faris back in July 2009. Because he's now an A-lister, he has opportunities to shoot movies all over the world, which requires him to be away from the house for months at a time. Additionally, he reportedly doesn't want kids for the foreseeable future.

The report states that there are other, smaller, reasons for the disconnect, but that their opposite views on their long-term family outlook was the biggest factor.

If you're searching for a silver lining in your celebrity break-up rumors, TMZ states that both Faris and Pratt are devoted parents to their soon to be five-year-old son Jack, and that the divorce (which has allegedly been set into motion) will be "as amicable as it gets."
