Netflix and Marvel have been absolutely on fire the past couple of years with their new original programming, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand (aka Iron Fist). So how could they possibly top that slate with their newest show?
How about by putting all four of them together?
That’s right, on August 18th, get ready to watch these four badass people, with incredible powers, join together in a thrilling eight-episode limited series, Marvel’s The Defenders. Set roughly one month after the events of the recent Iron Fist season, the event series unites Fist, Daredevil, Jones, and Cage—sometimes against their will—in order to defend New York City from the evil syndicate known as The Hand. Also making appearances are other key characters from the four Marvel series, including Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), Misty Knight (Simone Missick), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Elektra (Élodie Yung), the mysterious Alexandra (Sigourney Weaver) and many more.
All eight episodes of Marvel’s The Defenders debut on Netflix on August 18th, but you can get a look at the action-packed trailer now in the video above.
