Game of Thrones' leading man Jon Snow might know nothing that actually matters about being the King in the North or surviving The Long Night, but he sure does know how to make a right fool of himself. Or, as Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO show, puts it, he does know how “to not get blown off a cliff in gale force winds, so there’s always that.”
It's fun to see Kit Harrington, the actor who plays Jon Snow, do anything other than mope around looking sad because no one will believe how depressing and terrifying his character's life is, what with those White Walkers about to invade his home and all. So there's also that.
The cliff Harrington is playing about on looks like—spoilers for season 7, episode 5 ahead!—the same cliff he was standing on when he bravely moved to pet Drogon, after the dragon returns from battle with his "mother." To Daenerys and Jon’s surprise, Drogon allows Jon to get close to him. It’s a pretty adorable scene, but many also think it's another nod toward Jon’s true Targaryen lineage.
This isn't the first time Emilia has posted a photo joking around with Kit on set this season. Their characters had never crossed paths in the previous six seasons, but they've spent a lot of time together this time around. It makes sense the two are enjoying each other's long-awaited company.
Game of Thrones’ latest season, which also happens to be the penultimate season of the entire series, has had some powerful scenes and mind-blowing episodes. At the same time, its network HBO has been fighting against some major cyber attacks; the network has been hacked at least two times in the past few weeks, and a number of Game of Thronesepisodes have been released ahead of their original air dates each Sunday.
