New 'Game of Thrones' Trailer Hinting at Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen Meeting Released at Comic-Con

Epsiode two of season seven of 'Game of Thrones' will be out this Sunday on HBO.

Game of Thrones season 7, as you may have noticed, has arrived. A new trailer for the hit HBO show was released at Comic-Con in San Diego on Friday. The one minute clip has got fans excited for the show's seventh season.

Melisandre, who was recently banished by Jon Snow at the behest of Davos Seaworth for the murder/sacrifice of Shireen Baratheon, is apparently back. She's made her way south to the court of none other than young Daenerys Targaryen aka Khaleesi aka Daenerys Stormborn aka the Breaker of Chains. The quick clip shows Melisandre talking about someone who is almost certainly Jon Snow, setting up a potential scenario for Snow and Daenerys to meet. Speaking to Daenerys, Melisandre says "I believe you have a role to play...as does another."

Additionally, the trailer features resident badass Lyanna Mormont reminding us that winter has, indeed, arrived. It also features shots of multiple armies and a host of other scenes that are sure to get fans excited. Check out the trailer above.

Game of Thrones cast members also spoke on a panel at Comic-Con, including Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark. Talking about her character, Turner remarked, “She’s woke now, guys. She’s real woke. She trusts no one now, man or woman, family member or not. And that’s important if you play the Game of Thrones.”

The first episode of the seventh season premiered this past Sunday to record viewership, and laid some essential groundwork to move the plot forward. The season will run shorter than usual, with only seven episodes. Games of Thrones will return this Sunday, July 23 at 9 pm on HBO.
