John Oliver drops in on 'The Late Show' to discuss all the Trump sh*t he's missing out on while being on a brief 'Last Week Tonight' hiatus.

Trump's Watergate reboot took an interesting idiotic turn earlier this week, when his own son—the one who definitely uses bull urine for hair gel—scooped a damning story on himself by releasing said damning information on Twitter. But what are the consequences of what many have called a "clear violation of federal law" in an age where nothing seems to matter? We are, to quote John Oliver, "turbo fucked" no matter what.

Oliver, who's currently on a break from Last Week Tonight because of some other show, joined Stephen Colbert on Wednesday's Late Show to discuss Trump Jr.'s emails and to trade Russian travel stories with the host. "You'd have to have an offspring who is soooo stupid," Oliver said after joking that July is often a quiet period for news worth broadcasting on Last Week Tonight. "And what's the chance of that? It's nothing . . . We called this whole looming scandal, way back in March, we came up with this framing device for it, Stupid Watergate."

Stupid Watergate, Oliver reminded viewers, is "something with all the gravitas of Watergate, but where everyone involved is stupid and bad at everything." Sadly, Oliver noted, that joke has only grown in relevance.

When asked by Colbert to break down his reaction to Trump Jr.'s email revelations, Oliver pretty much nailed how any thinking American's reaction quickly shifted from shock to a state of existential dread. "This is something, as long as we live in a world where something means anything, and I'm not sure we do anymore," he said. "It seems serious, but do we live in a world devoid of consequences now? I forget where we are in human history."

Oliver noted there's still a possibility that Trump Jr. and the rest of that putrid family are simply "too dumb" to understand just how dire the situation is, which places us firmly in that aforementioned turbo-fucked category of existence.

On a lighter note, here's Oliver getting inducted into the 'Trump Attacked Me on Twitter' Hall of Fame:
