Let the cool kids tell it, we're currently thriving during an era of Peak TV. Turn on your actual TV, and those same cool kids aren't wrong. We're talking about a year that birthed everything from Donald Glover's dynamic Atlanta and Issa Rae's Insecure, to series that continue to delight and amaze, like black-ish and the final season of HBO's The Leftovers. There are tons more, and while there are times when we feel like we are drowning in all of this great TV, we're embarking on AWARDS SZN. It's time to separate (what this particular organization thinks is) the best from the rest.
While the actual 2017 Emmy Awards show (which will be hosted by Stephen Colbert) doesn't happen until September 17, 2017, the nominations have been announced today.
