At the conclusion of 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, humans and apes found themselves on the brink of all-out war, with no way to avoid it in sight.

On July 14th, the next chapter in the iconic series arrives, and it finds Ape ruler Caesar (Andy Serkis) now embroiled in a deadly conflict with an army of humans that is led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson). After the apes suffer some unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and desire to avenge his own kind. And both humans and apes find themselves locked on a collision course towards an epic ultimate battle that will determine the fate of both species and the planet as a whole.
