Scott Disick Is Experiencing What We've All Gone Through After a Breakup

Scott Disick is out with beautiful women in front of the whole world, but it's for all the wrong reasons.

While you were spending your Memorial Day Weekend trying to hit as many functions as possible, Scott Disick was spotted getting "super cozy" with Justin Bieber's ex Chantel Jeffries while on a yacht in Monaco. We're talking hands on ass, for the world (or TMZ's crack team of paparazzi) to see. This is after a week of being spotted with the likes of actress Bella Thorne, stylist Chloe Bartoli, Sofia Richie, and model Ella Ross during his insane trip to the Cannes Film Festival. That's a lot of women for one man during a period where his ex, Kourtney Kardashian, was also in Cannes.

While some might see this as a by-product of his alleged sex addiction, or just another example of Lord Disick at his worst, anyone who knows this situation can see the writing on the wall: Disick's on a revenge tour after being dissed by Kourtney Kardashian, who is the mother of his three children and is currently linked with a 24-year-old guy by the name of Younes Bendjima—and he's probably hurting.

Scott Disick and Bella Thorne

Disick's rise in the public eye was because of his association with the Kardashians, with his relationship with Kourtney playing out on their hit E! reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. The couple began dating back in 2006, and ended their on-again, off-again relationship in July of 2015. At the time, Disick appeared to be so hurt that he went on the "bender of his life," eventually checking into rehab in October of that year.

Sources have told TMZ that his parade of beautiful women is without a doubt a ploy to make Kourtney jealous, even going as far as to say that he didn't have any interest at all in Bella Thorne. The key to his anger at Kourtney is that even while he was dating a woman who looked eerily similar to Kourtney's sister Kendall Jenner, he was professing his love for Kourtney while indicating that they were going to be getting back together...even though she was said to have been dating Bendjima since October of 2016. Scott found out about that fact, and decided to live the life of a swinging bachelor for the whole world to see. This incited a rage within the Kardashian clan that could rupture whatever rekindling of their relationship that Scott may have assumed his revenge tour would have resulted in.

In 2014, a survey conducted by the University of Missouri found that 58 percent of people who have been dumped try to rectify their situation with some "revenge" sex about a month after their break-up. Their aim was to find out if rebound sex was the right way to repair a broken heart. The problem? Using sex to "get over" your ex just doesn't work as a coping mechanism. Researcher Lynne Cooper pointed it out plain as day: "[P]eople who are using these strategies are, in fact, more likely to take sexual risks, and that they may be having greater difficulty in moving on and establishing a new relationship." The reasoning behind that is that hopping into a rebound sex situation isn't the same as replacing someone you considered your significant other. If it's just meaningless sex, there's no spooning or after-sex conversation going on; it's more than likely an "I'll call you an Uber" situation.

Keep in mind that we're not saying Scott Disick has definitely had revenge sex with these women; he could just be taking them out on the yacht and enjoying their company. But whatever he's doing with these women, he's doing it for the wrong reasons. No amount of time with someone he reportedly doesn't have any interest in is going to a) fill the void left in his heart from Kourtney (a woman he's said he loves) leaving him or b) make Kourtney want to bring him back. If anything, having his revenge tour play out in the tabloids is only going to create a mountain of receipts that his three kids are going to have to see at some point.

If you ever find yourself in the situation Scott Disick is in, take it from us: do something constructive. The last thing you need to be doing with your life is trying to piss off the person who dumped you. Take some time to reflect on your life, and when you're out of the funk you're in from losing that special someone, there's no telling how many new people will enter your life. And if you don't heed our words, for Christsakes don't put all of your business on blast for the paparazzi to see.
