Napoleon Dynamite, the planet's leading potato-based tot enthusiast, has reunited with his old friend Pedro SĂĄnchez to espouse the virtues of starch and dairy. In a new Burger King ad announcing the "comeback of the decade," Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez revive their characters from the 2004 cult classic to shill exactly what you would expect: cheesy tots.

"Fans have been craving the return of Cheesy Tots for some time now," Alex Macedo, boss of Burger King's North America duties, said in a statement to Adweek Wednesday. "So we wanted to give loyalists a holiday surprise after we heard so many of their requests. Now they'll be able to warm up to these cozy cheese and potato bites this holiday season." Wait. Burger King "loyalists" are a thing?

At any rate, seeing these two dudes conjure up their inner 2004 selves definitely passes for a quality key bump of nostalgia.

Aside from a hella brief animated series on Fox in 2012, the original film stands alone as the definitive Napoleon Dynamite story. But during a chat with BBC Music back in August, Heder suggested a sequel or three was certainly a possibility. "Nothing's written on paper," Heder said. "It's written in the stars. We have yet to translate the stars. But who knows? It could happen. I feel that the stories of Napoleon aren't completely over." But maybe he was just talking about this Burger King commercial?
