It would appear that when the turn up gets real, one of Dave Chappelle's go-to songs is "Creep" by Radiohead.

Dave Chappelle’s hosting gig on Saturday Night Live continues to produce more viral highlights. Music and Chappelle’s comedy have been linked during and after the iconic run of his Comedy Central vehicle, with Questlove serving as the musical director for Dave Chappelle’s Block Party in 2005. Additionally, there are the memorable impressions of musicians such as Prince, Lil Jon, and Rick James, which still draw laughs over a decade after airing.

It turns out Chappelle is apparently a Radiohead fan too. During the wrap party for this week’s SNL episode, Questlove captured Chappelle onstage with cast member Leslie Jones singing the group’s 1993 hit “Creep” and posted it to Instagram.

“In a life full of highlights? I’m glad I waited ‘til 5:22 am for this....” Questlove captioned.

The SNL after-party has historically managed to draw headlines separate from the actual show.

“Even as Page Six and the like continue to report dutifully on the spirited mingling of Miley Cyrus or Lindsay Lohan, the truth is the SNL after-party, now almost four decades into its run and much of that time with the reputation as the coolest party in town, has always been a little ersatz,” noted Paul Brownfield in a 2014 New York Times article.

Having spoofed the self-proclaimed “King of Crunk” and given a convincing Nelson Mandela impression on Reflection Eternal’s Train of Thought album, perhaps a little Alternative Rock isn’t beyond the realm of possibility. After all, direct your attention to Chappelle performing the same song on Erykah Badu’s birthday:
