There's been a lot of rumours and assumptions flying around as to what Nintendo's upcoming device will be. Is it going to be a home console? A hand-held or mobile device? A glossy paperweight, maybe? It's all been very hush-hush, but the Chief Executive of Pokemon, Tsunekazu Ishihara, has given us a very revealing clue as to what we should expect from the Nintendo NX.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Ishihara claims the NX will be something of the likes we have never seen before. He also reveals that "the NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device, or a hand-held device."
While he doesn't work directly for them, the relationship between Pokemon and Nintendo is almost symbiotic; it's impossible to picture one without the other due to the close relationship between the brands. After all, Nintendo is the spiritual home of Pokemon. It comes as no surprise, then, that Ishihara knows things that we don't. He's even confirmed that they've got a Pokemon game in development for the NX.
So far, the iconic games company have kept any information on the NX to a bare minimum, however there are rumours that a full reveal will be coming next month. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it actually happens.
