Flying creatures and dragons, oh my! As the release of the newest Wizarding World movie draws near, we're gifted with the most comprehensive look at the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The first trailer dropped at the end of last year, but this is a huge upgrade from just watching Eddie Redmayne run around with a briefcase.

Fantastic Beasts belongs in the same universe as Harry Potter, but it takes place in a totally different time and place, so you won't see any of the Harry Potter cast or characters—OR WILL WE? (Fans have speculated a Dumbledore appearance, but we'll have to wait until the film's release to find out.) What we do know is that this no story of Hogwarts. Instead, we follow magizoologist Newt Scamander (Redmayne) in 1920s New York City, which gets overridden with fantastic beasts when his briefcase comes unlocked (a lot of explaining to do to muggles). Just taking a wild guess here, but I believe the rest of the movie focuses on the where to find them part.

Oscar winner Redmayne is joined by Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, and a bowl cut-sporting Ezra Miller. The adult cast is one of the things that sets this apart from the more children-oriented Harry Potter. J.K. Rowling makes her screenwriting debut, while Harry Potter alum David Yates directs (he directed Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, and both Deathly Hollows films). As with all other Harry Potter films, Fantastic Beasts also has a November release, hitting theaters November 18.

Watch the trailer above and get excited.
