Rob Zombie (House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects) is one twisted fuck, and believe it or not, his newest movie 31 promises to be his "sickest film to date." You don't need to watch much more than this 60-second trailer above to know it's gonna be a gross-as-hell affair. Riding that Saw wave, 31 follows five kidnapped carnival workers who have to fight for their lives by playing some sick and deadly game called "31." The game is hosted by a dude named "Father Murder" (lol I know), played by A Clockwork Orange's Malcom McDowell, who I guess doesn't have anything better to do with his time. It's unclear what the number refers to—maybe the number of games they have to play, or (more likely) Oct. 31, as the single-night film takes place on Halloween Eve.

Imprisoned for 12 hours, the five captives must endure "an endless parade of homicidal maniacs"—honestly, what the fuck Rob Zombie?—while trying to escape a bunch of maze-like rooms. As if that wasn't already horrifying enough, everyone seems to be in clown costume (probably because they are carnival workers?), which isn't even the most awful part of it—that would be a close tie between the gross bathroom and some guy who apologizes for his ax not being sharp enough.

Anyway, if you can stomach all the spurting blood and the squishy sounds of people getting gutted, watch the trailer above. 31 plays as part of Fathom Events in select theaters Sept. 1 and opens theatrically Sept. 16.
