People do all kinds of crazy stuff for cocaine. They smuggle it in their foreskin and their breast implants. They call 911 to report it stolen, and they snort it in front of cops. Jonah Hill, on the other hand, does crazy stuff in the name of a great performance—which in the case of The Wolf of Wall Street, meant snorting a ton of fake cocaine.

Hill appeared on an episode of Bill Simmons' new HBO talk show Any Given Wednesday this week and told the story of what happens when you snort fake cocaine with Leonard DiCaprio for months on end while filming a movie.

"I did so much fake cocaine in Wolf of Wall Street, I got bronchitis for three weeks and had to be hospitalized," Hill said.

Bronchitis is definitely bad, but maybe not quite as bad as what happens when you snort actual cocaine. A 2015 study said it will make your brain cannibalize itself and that a coked-up heart can keep beating for 25 minutes outside the body.

Hill is currently starring in War Dogs, which arrived in theaters today, as well as this hilarious commercial for UK streetwear brand Palace.
