Taylor Swift's Legal Team Deaded The R.I.P. Mural And It's Already Been Painted Over

Someone has to decided to dedicate the mural to another fallen soldier instead.

It was only yesterday that we reported on the gigantic "Taylor Smith" mural in Melbourne's Hosier Lane, which memorialised the death of Taylor Swift after Kim Kardashian murdered her off a Snapchat.

The natural response to this was ruminating on the possible legal ramifications for the artist, Lushsux, who has tried to distance himself from the piece in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. It appears that didn't deter Swift's legal team, who very quickly hit the dude with the threat of action if the wall was not removed.

After this was posted on Instagram, Lushsux uploaded the following the next morning with the caption "WHO DID THIS?!?!". Swift's face has now been artfully replaced by the Caveman Spongebob meme, and her name (or Smith's name) has been switched out for Harambe the gorilla's.

The gorilla, who was shot dead by zookeepers after a child fell into his enclosure, has recently been popping up sporadically in absurdist meme culture. Whether Lush did this himself or not remains to be seen, with the artist once again not taking credit for the new piece in a Herald Sun interview.

At the very least, it's comforting knowing that the mural is now in remembrance of a true American hero in Harambe. Unfortunately, for Swift it appears that she's now likely reached maximum levels of perceived pettiness in the eye of the public – and we have to say, it was already looking pretty grim for the once untouchable pop princess.
