Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, as the old saying goes. And shoppers outside Harrods apparently found that out when a spurned lover destroyed white Range Rover parked in front of the London department store yesterday. She left the car with “CHEATER” and “HOPE SHE WAS WORTH IT” sprayed in massive red letters. People soon started taking photos and posting them on Twitter, and it went viral.
But the story might be too good to be true. People were already suspicious: a doorman at Harrods told the Evening Standard "A young bloke got out the car, went for a cup of tea and then left again. I think it was a hoax to be honest. Everybody has been talking about it and there were lots of people crowding around and taking photographs of it.”
And now a photo has surfaced on Reddit of very similar incident happening in New York last year
An almost identical white Range Rover with “CHEATER” also written on it in red paint was toed away. Surely that’s too much of a co-incidence for them not be related? Or did the same player with a taste for white cars flee to London after getting caught out, and just end up cheating on his new bae? No one has claimed responsibility yet, but if there’s a new series of Cheaters starting soon, we’ll be very suspicious.
