Turns out Jon Snow did know something at least Kit Harington did. That big something was Jon Snow's fate, which was finally revealed in Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones. (Spoilers ahead). Now that Jon Snow's had his homecoming, Harington's apologized to all of the heartbroken fans for the trauma he put them through for a year. But Game of Thrones fans weren't the only ones lied to. Harington toldEntertainment Weekly he also had to lie to the Game of Thrones cast and crew.

Harington toldEW he thought keeping the huge secret was going to be a "fun game" until time took its toll on him. He had to lie to the Game of Thrones cast and crew for almost a year.  "The longer it went, the more I felt like I was betraying them [cast members and crew]," he said. "So I did end up letting people in, slowly."

But before he let them in on the secret, he fooled cast members including Sophie Turner, who plays Jon Snow's half-sister Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones. Harington toldEW Turner wrote him a letter, which he still has, about how she "loved" working with him. "That made me chuckle," he said. Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos), however, wasn't buying Harington's lie and reportedly waved it off from the get-go.

HBO recently renewed Game of Thrones for a seventh season to premiere in 2017.
