Earth is extremely boring. To remedy this obvious fact, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is taking the action beyond our planet and into the deep recesses of outer space. Infinite Warfare, formally announced on Monday via the delightfully spacey trailer above, centers on pilot Captain Reyes as he takes the reigns of one of the last warships on Earth. Though it took the Call of Duty franchise 13 entries to finally vacate the planet, this early glimpse at the results proves the wait was clearly worth it.

"This is a grand scale, old-school, all-out war in an epic new-school setting," Infinity Ward boss Dave Stohl toldForbes of the ambitious Infinite Warfare. "And it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun." Though details on multiplayer action remain relatively vague, Forbes notes that Infinite Warfare has already promised to debut an "evolution" of Call of Duty's movement system to better serve "front-line engagement."

Infinite Warfare, of course, follows last year's awesomely revealed Black Ops III. To send the Black Ops message loud and clear, Activision grabbed Creed star Michael B. Jordan and all-around cool person Cara Delevingne for a slightly meta trailer that properly set up the 12th Call of Duty entry for eventual critical and commercial success.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare arrives on Nov. 4 to collect your money before briefly satisfying your hunger for potentially intergalactic battles, so start convincing your loved ones to gift you with a preorder as soon as possible right now.
