Doctor Strange Director’s Tweet Gives Us a Good Look at Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor in Costume

Doctor Strange director gives us best look at Benedict Cumberbath and Chiwetel Ejiofor on set

Doctor Strange director, Scott Derrickson, has given us our best look yet of Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo. The picture was taken from their film set in New York and as you can see both look like spot-on versions of their comic book counterparts.

Cumberbatch looks like an excellent doppelgänger for the Sorcerer Supreme with his costume and perfect facial hair, which will most likely set off a new beard trend. As for Ejiofor’s Baron Mordo, he’s sporting a more contemporary look of his character’s costume, leaving out the exaggerated collar that he's seen wearing in the comic books. What’s notable is that both character’s seem to be working side-by-side, differing from the Marvel Comics universe where Baron Mordo and Dr. Strange are sworn enemies. This suggests that the film will follow a different direction from the comics and have both of them as allies... for now.

Doctor Strange will be hitting the cinema’s this year with the UK getting an October 28 release, whilst the US will have to wait till November 4.
